Microsoft New Launch Windows 7

For the first time, software giant Microsoft is asking people to hold parties at home to showcase its latest operating system, Windows 7. This strategy has so far been commonly used by Amway and Tupperware sellers.

The Windows 7 operating system is due to be launched on October 22 and those interested can register online at Houseparty.com, an online party coordinating service. If selected, the big incentive is a free Windows 7 Signature Edition. Every host will also have a chance to win a PC worth $750. Houseparty.com will help in organizing the party, and will supply a special kit, which may include gifts like key chains and t-shirts for guests.

Among the 12 countries that have been chosen for such parties is India, perhaps based on the importance the market holds. Other countries include the U.S., Germany, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Hong Kong and Japan.

There are four different party themes available- PhotoPalooza, Media Mania, Setting up with Ease, and Family Friendly Fun.
